Our team’s experience includes grading and site development, underground utility trenching, drainage, concrete improvements, solar foundations, pile driving, and tracker mechanical installation.

We look for opportunities to reuse materials, reduce unnecessary handling, and select equipment and sequences that fit the site.

Experience With Evolving Solar Technology
Our renewable-energy experience began with early solar tracking systems and developed alongside changes in foundations, driven piles, racking, and installation methods.
That experience includes Nextracker, ATI, and GameChange systems, along with the civil and underground work supporting utility-scale solar developments. It gives our team practical insight into how product requirements affect grading, foundations, equipment access, and construction sequencing.

Matrix Sitework combines field knowledge with digital terrain modeling, earthwork analysis, and GPS machine-control workflows.
We are expanding the use of LiDAR, drone-based site information, and AI-assisted processes to improve planning, documentation, and project visibility. We use technology to give our teams better information, improve accuracy, and make informed decisions in the field.
Leadership Background
Dave Roberts brings more than 40 years of civil construction experience, with utility-scale solar work beginning in 2006. His career developed from hands-on equipment operation and grade checking into estimating, business leadership, and managing major construction projects. He personally led the projects featured in our portfolio through prior companies. His experience with construction methods and evolving technology helps shape Matrix Sitework’s approach to project delivery.
